Morton(Update) – The trail portion at the Detroit Ave and Jackson St intersection was open this morning.  The street remain closed.

Peoria – North St. have loose gravel especially along the curbs.

August 29th, 2016

Peoria Heights – Marietta Ave (west of Prospect Rd) and Sciota Ave have loose gravel especially along the curbs.

Edelstein – N. Hakes Rd. (from Akron Rd to W. Oertley Rd) have fresh gravel on the entire stretch.

Princeville – The entire stretch of W. Oertley Rd is covered with fresh gravel.

August 6th, 2016

Princeville – N. Mendendall Rd. (from Cutter’s Grove Park to E. South St.) have loose gravel on it.

Princeville – E. North St. (between Rt-91 to N. Town Ave.) have packed gravel on it.

Princeville – E. Woertz Rd. ( from N. Town Ave. to just south of W. Oertley Rd.) to semi-loose gravel on it.

May 5th, 2016

Morton – The Detroit Ave. roadway widening and intersection improvement project is currently taking place.  Stage 1 construction includes the closure of Detroit Ave. in between Jackson St. & Jefferson St.  Work will also begin to widen the east side of Detroit Ave. south of Jefferson.  2 way traffic will be maintained on Detroit Ave., south of Jefferson and on Jackson.  The project consists of widening approx. 1/3 mile of Detroit Ave to 5 lanes and reconstructing Jefferson from W. Bond to west for approx. 1/4 mile.  Improvements also include new traffic signals at Jefferson and Jackson.  If you are using the Morton Trail, you might need to take a detour at the intersection.  Completion is expected around December 2016.
