I, (Al Wenninger) am starting a new organized ride called the Eastside River Group.  Due to high gas prices, several riders have asked for this ride and it will not be in conflict with Russell’s Thursday Woman’s Ride.  This ride will mainly be on the Eastside of the Illinois River on Wednesdays.  Rides will be out of Washington, Mackinaw, Eureka, Morton, Metamora and East Peoria.

Please let me know if you want your name added to this ride list.

Rides will start at 8AM sharp.  No drop rides around 35 to 40 miles.

LaVerne Wilson & Steve Grube will lead a Mackinaw to Carlock Ride. Meet at 9 a.m. across from IGA in the Park area. You can park on the side streets. Mackinaw has many more peaceful less traveled roads. Lunch will be in Carlock Restaurant. Mileage is 32 miles.

Rich Giebelhausen will lead a ride at 9 a.m. Details TBD

Bill Semmens will lead a Princeville to Wyoming ride. Meeting at Cutter Park in Princeville at 8:30. Mileage TBD.

Randy Swensen will be ride leader at Coffee Can, 224 N. Second St., in downtown Hanna City, off Rt. 116. Will will depart. at 8:30 and ride to Farmington with a stop at the Circle K. Then return to Coffee Can for lunch or a snack. About 29 miles

Wednesday, July 20:  POSTPONED due to heat

Larry Trollope will lead the East Peoria to Goodfield ride meeting at 8:30 a.m. Fondulac Park District parking near the caboose. Lunch will be in Goodfied at Busy Corner & expect 35 miles.

Friday, August 12:

Allan Wenninger will lead the Comalara Park to Lake Bloomington with lunch at Lake Road Inn. Mileage & Time TBD.

Wednesday, August 24:

Ken Pope will lead his Alpaca Ride departing from Pearce Community Center, 610 W. Cedar St., Chillicothe at 9 a.m. We will be visiting the Alpaca Farm which is about 18 miles out arriving about 11 a.m. These Alpacas are so gentle and fun to be around. I know we wish our grandchildren could be on this trip. Lunch is at Lucky Dog Pub & Eatery at 701 N 4^th St, Chillicothe following the ride for those who care to join us. Mileage 32 miles

Wednesday, September 7:

LaVerne Wilson & Steve Grube will lead the Tanners Ride meeting at 9 a.m. at Pearce Community Center 610 W Cedar St. Chillicothe. Lunch at Tanners and returning a different route down Lake Shore Dr., Hallock Hollow, and Cloverdale Rd. Mileage 35 miles. Est.

LaVerne Wilson & Steve Grube will lead a ride meeting at Russell Cycle at 9 a.m. to Upper Spring Bay back roads and returning on Metamora/Washington blacktop. Estimate 30 miles. Lunch at Kep’s Bar & Grill at 414 Muller Rd.
